Governors Action Alliance (GovAct) is a nonpartisan nonprofit initiative that supports governors in championing fundamental freedoms.
Our Story
GovAct serves as a centralized platform for collaboration across governors’ offices—incubating, launching, and supporting alliances of governors.
GovAct’s priorities are set by the governors and their teams based on their urgency and the opportunity for impact. We deliver results through GovAct’s alliances of governors: the Reproductive Freedom Alliance, Governors Safeguarding Democracy, and Governors for Public Health.
GovAct is guided by an Advisory Board of former governors and former senior federal officials and mobilizes bipartisan coalitions of former governors in lawsuits related to federal overreach and state sovereignty.
