In response to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) announcing that they will continue to recommend routine immunization based on the latest evidence for what is important to protect children in the U.S., Angela Botticella, Managing Director for the Governors Public Health Alliance (PHA), released the following statement:
“At a time of continued federal instability when it comes to public health, the Governors Public Health Alliance is pleased to see the American Academy of Pediatrics step up to ensure parents, families, schools, and states have transparent guidance, informed by experts, which puts the health and wellbeing of children first. All the states represented in the Governors Public Health Alliance have aligned with the science-based recommendations of the AAP.”
