Madison González

Communications Manager

Madison González is GovAct’s communications manager. She is a skilled communicator who turns policy and politics into stories people can connect with—an ability honed over six years across state government and campaigns in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Prior to joining GovAct, Madison served as Deputy Communications Director and Director of External Affairs for Connecticut Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz, where she shaped the office’s public voice, directed high-profile events, and grew its digital presence into a leading platform. In 2021, she became the first Latina and the youngest person ever elected to the South Windsor Board of Education, and she co-founded Future Leaders in Politics to help other young leaders run for office at the local level in her home state.

Madison holds a B.A. in Urban and Community Studies and an M.S.W. from the University of Connecticut.
