Claudia Zapata
Development Manager
Claudia Zapata serves as a Development Manager at GovAct. Before joining GovAct, Claudia led institutional fundraising at Workers Defense Project, managing a multimillion-dollar grants portfolio supporting worker organizing, immigrant justice, and advocacy across Texas. Her career spans nonprofit development, the Texas Legislature, political campaigns, and public policy.
Claudia also served as a municipal elected official. Her firsthand experience in government uniquely informs her approach to development and understanding of GovAct’s work. Claudia holds a B.A. in Philosophy from The University of Texas at Austin.
