Angela Botticella

Managing Director of the Governors Public Health Alliance

Angela Botticella is the Managing Director of the Governors Public Health Alliance.  

Angela is a seasoned executive with two decades of experience in federal government, advocacy, and campaigns, specializing in complex health policy, operations, and organizational strategy. Before joining GovAct, she served as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where she guided department-wide initiatives to strengthen pandemic preparedness, behavioral health, cybersecurity, and workplace modernization.

Previously, Angela was Chief of Staff at the Catholic Health Association of the United States, where she led long-term strategic planning and advocacy efforts to expand health access and equity. Earlier in her career, she directed national coalitions to protect the Affordable Care Act as Executive Director of Know Your Care (501c3) and Protect Your Care (501c4) and held senior leadership roles at HHS overseeing relationships with state and local governments, health care providers, and nonprofit and private-sector organizations.

Angela holds a Master of Public Administration and Policy from American University and a Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University.
